Web site Accessibility and Usability Policy

Genesee Regional Bank is committed to ensuring accessibility of its web site to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our site, and in doing so, already adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines.

This web site endeavors to conform to level AA of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 and has been built using code compliant with W3C standards for HTML and CSS. The site displays correctly in current browsers and its use of standards-compliant HTML/CSS code means any future browsers will also display it correctly.

New content added to the site is being developed with WCAG 2.0 standards in mind.  While the Genesee Regional Bank web site strives to adhere to all the accepted guidelines, it is not always possible in some areas of the web site.  In these cases, we are actively looking for alternatives and have undertaken additional development initiatives that can be implemented on an ongoing basis in order to improve accessibility and usability.  Legacy materials still used on the web site are being updated for compliance.  This policy and progress against these improvement initiatives is reviewed on an annual basis by the bank’s Risk Management Officer.

In the meantime, should you experience any difficulties using the Genesee Regional Bank web site, please contact us for assistance at 585.249.1540 or via email at [email protected].
