Empire State Lyric Theatre presents a chamber opera festival, March 2 - 4, 2012, and GRB is proud to be a major sponsor.

Susan Cotroneo, Executive Director, says that this festival is the first of its kind in the region. "Chamber opera is opera on a smaller scale; one act staged performances," she notes.  Even those new to opera will find these accessible and entertaining.

The festival kicks off with a reception and performance of Rossini's La Cambiale di Matrimonio at the German House. Tickets can be purchased for both the reception and the opera, or just the opera.

Saturday's offering is fun for the whole family - an operatic Beauty and the Beast at The Strong's National Museum of Play. Free with museum admission.

Closing with performances by an all-local cast, Sunday's opera, Menotti's The Medium, will be staged at the Rochester Center for the Performing Arts.
