Celebrating 15 years of banking service to Rochester, GRB hosted an anniversary celebration September 14 at our Linden Oaks headquarters. Thanking our employees, board members, and clients, GRB Chairman Phil Saunders and GRB President & CEO Phil Pecora also spoke about the bank’s growth.

As Saunders noted, when he and his business partner Dante Gullace established GRB in 1996, the bank’s asset size was $21 million. Fifteen years later, the bank has grown to $270 million in assets. Business and personal banking teams were established, a mortgage department created, and locations increased from one to three. With just four employees in 1996, GRB now has 54, who are known for outstanding customer service.

Pecora commented that GRB’s success has been largely because of the success of our clients. As they have increased deposits through their own growth, we have been able to increase our lending power to the community. It’s a testament to the many local small businesses that have flourished in Rochester in the past 15 years, and that we are proud to have as clients.
