The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) provides loans, loan guarantees, couseling, and other resources to small businesses, helping them start or grow. GRB works with the SBA to provide clients more options for their financing needs.
Virginia Smith, the Rochester SBA branch manager, visited GRB today to present us with the Bronze Award, for participating in over $1 million in the bank guarantee program for fiscal year 2014 (ended 9/30/14). On hand to receive the award were Senior Vice Presidents Paul Kaiser and Dave Halladay.
Some statistics about GRB's 2014 involvement with the SBA:
GRB completed 22 SBA loans for a total of $2.7 million.
GRB ranks 6th in the Rochester market for number of loans approved
GRB ranks 9th in the market for total dollar amount of loans approved.

GRB is pleased to announce that we have received a Silver Award from the Small Business Administration (SBA), for the fiscal year ending Septemebr 30, 2012. This places us third among local banks who participate in SBA programs.
The Silver Award recognizes instutitions who have produced over $5 million in SBA-guaranteed loans.
Loans to Rochester small businesses are alive and well, reports the Democrat & Chronicle. Small Buiness Administation (SBA) lending in Rochester has been climbing, with 406 made in fiscal 2011, surpassing the 360 made in fiscal 2010.
For the current fiscal year, GRB was one of the banks that has doubled SBA loans made in the same time period last year.
